  • Condition: This original 9.5" x 12" French Color Photos exhibits excellent clarity of FRANKENSTEIN'S side image on an almost pristine background. There are only two flaws that we could detect after inspection of the photo - one obtrusive, one not. The obtrusive one is a 1/4" scrap with white showing (paper and orangey color are missing) at the top of FRANKENSTEIN'S head. The unobtrusive flaw is a smaller (1/8") and fainter white scrap on the right side near the border nearer the top. There are no pin holes, no tears, and no tape or tape residue. There is no soling or smudging. The photo has a high gloss finish. The color is a sort of light to dark, almost burnt orange in some sections coloring throughout the photo. A classic image of one of the most famous of the old Universal horror movies. Please review the photos carefully.

    to promote that TV show.  It was n
    arrated by Anthony Perkins, with clips of old and some newer Universal horror movies. This photo is obviously the photos produced by Universal to promote
    THE HORROR SHOW
    in France.  The sticker at the bottom left of the photo is placed there to advertise
    THE HORROR SHOW.
    This unrestored photo is (graciously) graded C8.5, Very Fine to Near Mint.
    Original photos, like original movie posters, are graded, from the top down, as C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine to Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Fine/Very Good), etc.  We say "graciously" sarcastically (a bit) since the 1/4" missing paper via a scrap that creates a white mark at the top is obtrusive.  However, it could be easily remedied with a little ingenuity. Using a colored marker that is the same as the orangey colors that are on the photo would probably work.  We did not do so since the buyer may see this item as an investment piece.  If so, we would have it professionally restored.
