    Description

Rolling Thunder vintage original Lobby Card #4 & Pre-Release Exhibitor Ad 1977
This is a listing for a vintage, original lobby card for the cult classic Rolling Thunder from 1977 plus a pre-release advertisement. Lobby cards were created by the studio to be sent out to theater exhibitors for display and were phased out in the early '80s. The lobby card here is lobby #4 featuring hook-handed hero William Devane and contains side-bar artwork of American International's awesome ad art. The other item here is a page from 20th Century Fox's booklet of their up-and-coming slate of releases that was sent out to theater exhibitors in '76 (thus another film advertised on the flip side). Turns out 20th-Century Fox declined to release the film due to its violent nature (the hand in the garbage disposal scene as well as other scenes were much gorier) and the film was sold to exploitation/drive-in specialists AIP. Lobby card measures the standard 11" x 17" while the advertisement measure 10" x 17". Ships flat sandwiched between two pieces of corrugated cardboard via First Class mail.
